Leadership
Graykon is run by two hands-on directors, each owning a distinct half of the business.
The face of the company and the single point of executive leadership for the Graykon brand — responsible for company strategy, sales, marketing campaigns and brand, client relationships, and client-facing project delivery (scoping, sign-off, and account management).
Senior SQL Server DBA with expertise in database design, data integration, ETL and data warehousing, and business intelligence & reporting. A strong communicator, comfortable presenting and building relationships.
Sets technical direction and standards, owns technology and vendor selection and delivery planning, and mentors engineering teams. Responsible for architecture, app and web development, cloud hosting, app store releases, DevOps/CI-CD, security, POPIA technical controls, and performance.
Enterprise and solution architect with 33 years in IT. Master's Degree in Computer Science (1st Class Honours), NDIT, and TOGAF 9 Certified. Responsible for keeping systems operational and for cloud strategy and development across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Extended Team
Two extended team members keep clients supported and the business running smoothly, so both directors can stay focused on selling and building.
First point of contact for client support. Handles the support inbox and WhatsApp line, logs and triages tickets, manages the response times promised in subscription SLAs, follows up after project delivery, and gathers testimonials and feedback — a key differentiator against solo freelancers.
Manages company finances day to day — invoicing and payment collection, bookkeeping and liaison with the accountant, monthly cost tracking (including per-app cloud costs against subscription revenue), cash-flow monitoring, and preparing the monthly financial dashboard. Final financial decisions remain jointly with Charles and Mervyn as shareholders.
